Team Vermont for 2018 Special Olympics USA Games honored at Vermont State House

Vermont will be represented at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games by 19 athletes, Unified partners, and coaches competing in athletics (track and field events), Unified basketball, and swimming. Every four years, Special Olympics presents the USA Games where athletes from across the country compete in 14 team and individual sports. Over 4000 Special Olympic athletes are expected to participate in the USA Games this July in Seattle, Washington.

Norwich University administrator selected for national leadership development program

Rosebush first winner of UVM’s new Faculty Advising Award

Joan “Rosi” Rosebush, senior lecturer and director of student success in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, is the inaugural winner of the University of Vermont’s new Outstanding Faculty Advising Award. The award is a collaborative effort between the Office of the Provost, the Student Government Association, the Student Affairs Committee of the Faculty Senate and the UVM Advising Center.

Vermont electrical lineworkers honored

Lineworkers from Vermont Electric Cooperative were in attendance at the Vermont Statehouse on April 18th for the reading of a House concurrent resolution honoring Vermont’s electric utility lineworkers. The resolution offered by Representative Sam Young and Senator Richard Westman, recognized lineworkers for their special role in the creation, maintenance, and restoration of the state’s electric power line system.
