Farewell, Jim!

After 20 years at Audubon, Jim Shallow has decided to start a new chapter in his career. Jim will become the Director of Strategic Conservation Initiatives at the Vermont chapter of The Nature Conservancy. Jim came to Audubon to open the Vermont State Office 1997 and worked to create an alliance with the Green Mountain Audubon Society. He was the first executive director of Audubon Vermont, starting in 2000.

He started a general contracting company specializing in concrete pumping for large residential and commercial projects.

Welch announces winner of 37th Annual Congressional Art Competition

Rep Peter Welch (D-VT) announced on Monday the winner of the 37th Annual Congressional Art Competition at the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier. Aidan Bundock of Shelburne and Champlain Valley Union High School won first-place honors for his watercolor painting, “Midnight Snacks.” Bundock’s piece was selected from a field of 169 student entries representing 39 high schools across Vermont.

Chaplain Launer named Employee of the Year at Copley Hospital

May 15th was an evening of honoring excellent service to our community with the theme “Community – We can’t build a healthy community without u!” Chaplain Alden Launer received a standing ovation when named Copley Hospital’s Employee of the Year for his outstanding service to patients, community members and employees. He was honored at the hospital’s annual Service Awards Banquet.

Better Living Audiology opens new office in Middlebury
