At their recent annual meeting, the VT/NH MG elected Michael Briggs of Paragon Digital as the new President. Community Bank NA welcomes trust officer

Community Bank NA is pleased to announce Keven DuComb has joined its team as trust officer out of the South Burlington Kennedy Drive branch. DuComb brings to the team five years of experience in the financial industry. In his new role, DuComb will manage trust, estate and other fiduciary account relationships. He joins the Community Bank NA team from Comerica Bank in Detroit, Michigan, where he served as a client-facing trust officer and internal trust adviser.

Vermont student Madison Knoop selected for inaugural Giffords Courage Fellowship

Northern Vermont University Sophomore Madison Knoop has been selected to participate in the inaugural Giffords Courage Fellowship. Madison will join 27 other students from across the country in the year long program. Following the mass shooting in Parkland, youth across the nation led a renewed push for gun safety laws. To help empower the continued efforts of young advocates, Giffords launched the inaugural Courage Fellowship. Over the course of the program students will receive resources and opportunities to help them continue their efforts to improve gun safety laws where they live.

AIAVT announces new executive director

The American Institute of Architects, Vermont Chapter (AIAVT) is pleased to announce the selection of Sarah O Donnell as its new executive director. Sarah, a Jericho resident, combines a background in fine arts with experience working in the film industry, art galleries, and most recently, non-profit management experience gained while in the position of Director of Programming and Member Engagement at the Burlington Business Association (BBA).
