Butch & Babe’s owner Kortnee Bush received the Rosemary J Miller Dining for All Award. Bush opened the Old North End eatery in 2015. Butch & Babe’s serves up good American food and a welcoming family and neighborhood atmosphere.

The Alzheimer’s Association Vermont Chapter recently appointed Grace Gilbert-Davis to serve as executive director. "The Alzheimer’s Association has a longstanding reputation for being a leader in Alzheimer’s care, support and research” stated Gilbert-Davis. “I feel incredibly fortunate to join the Vermont Chapter at a time when it’s imperative to develop public policy priorities on behalf of all Vermonters affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.”

On November 14, over 150 community members joined with Howard Center to celebrate Gretchen Morse as the 2018 Help is Here Award honoree. Now in its third year, the award recognizes an individual or organization whose contributions personify the agency’s mission and demonstrate a passion for helping the people served by Howard Center. Past award recipients include Lisa Steele (2016) and Whit Smith (2017).
Howard Center’s Crisis Services Coordinator, ACT 1 Program receive recognition
Uli Schygulla, Director of Howard Center’s ACT 1/Bridge program, was recently honored with a 2018 Intensive Care Services Community Partner Award from Washington County Mental Health Services. The award recognized the ACT 1 staff for the training and technical support they provided as the Washington County organization planned for adding alcohol detox services to an existing program.
