O’Brien to receive the 2019 VTIFF Community Champion Award

The Vermont International Film Festival is very pleased to announce the 2019 VTIFF Community Champion Award. This is the third year of this prestigious award given to a person who has significantly contributed and impacted film culture in Vermont.

The Award ceremony will take place at a private reception in the home of VTIFF Board member Kevin Meehan in South Burlington.

C2 (Competitive Computing), a leading Vermont technology consulting firm is excited to announce the following additions to their team: Jeff Snyder, Systems Engineer and Steven Choinski, Inside Sales Representative.

Jeff will focus on developing and executing solutions for client performance improvements. He was previously the IT Manager at Laraway Youth and Family Services. Jeff holds a M.Ed. degree from Northern Vermont University.

Former UVM VP and General Counsel Bazluke honored with Life Membership Award

Francine “Fran” T Bazluke, former vice president and general counsel at the University of Vermont, will be honored with the National Association of College and University Attorney (NACUA) 2019 Life Membership Award, granted after an individual's retirement from the regular practice of higher education law, in recognition of outstanding service and substantial contributions to the association.

Roof hired as new BTV Ignite project manager

The BTV Ignite Board of Directors, in partnership with The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber, is pleased to announce that Adam Roof has been hired to lead the coordination of BTV Ignite. NVU-Johnson’s Bennion presents polyamory research in Paris

As more people around the world explore polyamory — being in multiple consensual, intimate relationships — as an alternative to monogamy, a Northern Vermont University-Johnson professor has conducted related, seminal research on a Paris Facebook group. Anthropology professor Janet Bennion presented her findings at the Center for Research and Interdisciplinarity (CRI) in Paris this month.
