VNRC presents Arthur Gibb Award for Individual Leadership to Madeleine Kunin

The Vermont Natural Resources Council (VNRC) will present this year’s Arthur Gibb Award for Individual Leadership to Madeleine Kunin, former Governor of Vermont. The award will be presented at VNRC’s annual meeting on Thursday, September 12 at the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms.

“We can thank Governor Kunin for much of what we enjoy in Vermont today,” said Brian Shupe, Executive Director of VNRC.

Gagner appointed to VEDA Board of Directors

The Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) today announced Andrea Gagner has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Gagner is the Chief Executive Officer of 14th Star Brewing Company in St. Albans.

"VEDA is pleased to welcome Andrea to its Board of Directors," said Cassie Polhemus, VEDA's Chief Executive Officer. "Her leadership and experience building a successful Vermont company brings valuable insight to VEDA's mission, which is to provide financing programs that help our businesses and farms grow and create jobs."

Flyin Ryan Adventure Scholarship recipients

Flyin Ryan is proud to announce the addition of three new Adventure Scholarship recipients to their Adventure Scholar family!

Eli Derrick is a skicross competitor as well as a junior swim coach, mountain biker, diver and junior camp counselor at Woodward Tahoe. He has earned placement on the skicross US Junior Worlds Team and USSA Project Gold, among others. He aspires to compete in the Lausanne 2020 Youth Winter Olympics and intends to use his scholarship award to compete in the skicross NorAm races.

Johnson to serve as VELCO Vice President of Strategic Innovation

Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO) President and CEO Tom Dunn announced today that Kerrick Johnson has agreed to serve as VELCO's Vice President of Strategic Innovation. Johnson joins VELCO's senior leadership team, where he will be responsible for all company business development activities and communications work as the company continues to pursue initiatives that deliver grid reliability, cost savings and decarbonization value. This is a return engagement for Johnson having previously served eleven years at VELCO.
