Harwood earns a Professional Engineering license

Charles Martin to lead VT ESGR

Capt Juliet Perkins, Executive Director of HQ Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), based in Alexandria, VA, has announced the confirmation of Charles Martin as the next Chair to lead the VT ESGR field committee. ESGR's mission is to foster a culture where employers support and value the military service of their Reserve Component (RC) employees. In this role, Charles and his team of dedicated volunteers serve as the principal means of communication between the Department of Defense, employers, RC service members and the local community.

Angelo Tedesco Sr inducted into the Masonry Hall of Fame

Angelo Tedesco Sr. of Rutland, VT has recently been inducted into the Masonry Hall of Fame by the Mason Contractors Association of America at the 2019 MCAA Annual Convention at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas, NV. This is a highly competitive process to be honored with a selection as voted on by peers from around the country. Angelo Sr. is the very first HOF member chosen from the state of Vermont, the New England area and the Eastern US for that matter (with Maryland being the closest other inductee to our area). Doyle and Wang join Public Assets’ Board; Bluemle elected chair

Tiffany Bluemle was elected chair of the board of Public Assets Institute at the organization’s annual meeting earlier this month. She announced that Weiwei Wang of Burlington and Ben Doyle of Montpelier have been elected to the board.

A non-partisan nonprofit with offices in Montpelier, Public Assets Institute is the state’s premier independent research organization on Vermont budget, tax, and economic issues and the source for timely and in-depth state fiscal and policy analysis.

White River Junction VA Medical Center expands geriatric mental health services for veterans

The VA Medical Center in White River Junction has further increased mental health services available to local Veterans by welcoming a new physician, Dr. Geraldine McWilliams. Dr. McWilliams is a Geriatric Psychiatrist who will care for aging Veterans with mental health needs unique to an older population.

Dr. McWilliams earned her medical degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and went on to complete her residency in Psychiatry at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH where she also completed an additional fellowship year for specialization in Geriatric Psychiatry.
