Mark Ackerly has joined New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) as Chief Information Officer (CIO). Mark is an experienced Information Technology and Security leader with over 20 years of experience working in complex and regulated environments. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrogeology and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems. Mark is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and has spent most of the past 12 years working within community financial institutions.

Eight nurses at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) received funds from the SVHC Foundation in support of their continuing education efforts. The funds were provided to the Foundation by the Helen Dixon Kunzelmann Nurse Scholar Program, the Margaret M. Rehm Nurse Scholar Program, and donations for nursing education. The nurses awarded scholarships represent many hospital departments, including the Emergency Department, Endoscopy, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Perioperative Services.
