At the Annual Meeting of the Addison County Economic Development Corporation on November 8, 2019, the membership elected Christopher Wilson, Senior Director at Collins Aerospace to serve on the Board of Trustees. Wilson replaces Mark Bellinger, who served as a board member for seven years.

Community National Bank CEO Kathy Austin is pleased to welcome Emma Marvin to serve as a Director of the Community National Bank and Community Bancorp Boards. Marvin’s appointment to the Boards is effective as of January 1, 2020. She will serve on the Corporate Governance/Nominating Committee of the Company’s Board and the Risk Management Committee of the Bank’s Board.

Suzanne Lynn, the Secretary of Vermont Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors, was recently presented with the Rotary Club’s Citizen of the Year award. Suzanne Lynn, along with her husband, Emerson, were both recently presented with the Rotary Club’s Citizens of the Year awards. In attendance at the recent ceremony were FCIDC director and the St. Albans City Mayor, Tim Smith, Rotarian Warren Hamm and Rotarian Tom Hungerford.

Mercy Connections announces Leslie McCrorey Wells, co-owner of Pizzeria Verità, Trattoria Delia and Sotto Enoteca, as the 2020 recipient of the Catherine McAuley Award. Each year, Mercy Connections’ Board of Directors selects a person for this high honor who exemplifies compassionate service, leadership and commitment to building a just community. This prestigious award will be presented to McCrorey Wells at Mercy Connections’ Annual May Luncheon on May 5, 2020 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in South Burlington.

Julia Phillips, a highly accomplished and renowned physicist who has held top leadership positions at national laboratories and scientific organizations, will serve as the University of Vermont’s first President’s Distinguished Scholar. Phillips currently serves on the executive committee of the National Science Board, which sets National Science Foundation policy, and chairs its science and engineering policy committee.
