Lucas Farrell, of Townshend, VT, and Dr. Thomas Kalchthaler, of Jamaica, VT, have joined the Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital Board of Trustees.

Farrell and his wife, Louisa, own and operate Big Picture Farm, a hillside goat dairy farm known for its award-winning farmstead caramels and cheeses, sold in stores across the country.

Pfc Noelle Cave enlisted as a 19D, cavalry scout, on January 3, 2020. Pfc Cave is the first female to enlist into the cavalry in Vermont since the duty position became available to females on August 9, 2016.

“This is a great news for our cavalry squadron and the entire Vermont Army National Guard,” said Brig Gen Richard Lebel, land component commander, Vermont Army National Guard. “Women in direct combat roles are an integral part of the success of our formations, and having our first enlistment into the combat arms will hopefully open the door for other women like Pfc. Cave.”
