Rutland Economic Development Corporation welcomes Elicia Mailhiot to fill the role of communications specialist. Mailhiot comes to REDC from Castleton University, having served as Communications Coordinator since 2018. While there, she helped execute key advancement functions, serving as the lead writer on various marketing and communications projects, helping to develop a comprehensive integrated marketing plan, and writing and disseminating stories to local, statewide, and national media outlets to garner positive news coverage for the University.

Andrea Bergeron has joined the team of fractional financial service providers with Ascend Group. Andrea has thirty years of experience for various Vermont non-profit organizations, including serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Vermont Public Television, Shelburne Museum and the Flynn Center. She has a deep understanding of the nuances of the nonprofit sector, and as is often the case in NPOs, in her past roles Andrea has led the human resources, information technology and general administrative teams giving her a wide range of business experience.

Nicole Mace will be joining the Winooski School District (WSD) as Finance Manager. Her first day is today, May 4. Nicole worked for eight years at the Vermont School Boards Association (VSBA), first as the General Counsel and then as Executive Director. Last year she left her position with the VSBA to practice law with a private firm that represents school districts in Vermont. While she was looking forward to practicing law, when the finance manager position opened up, she felt she had to apply.
