Saint Michael’s faculty pair funded for interdisciplinary stress-in-space study

Saint Michael’s College faculty collaborators Melissa VanderKaay Tomasulo, Ph.D. of neuroscience/psychology and Dagan Loisel, Ph.D. of biology learned this week that a “small-scale research grant” of $25,000 through the Vermont Space Grant Consortium has been funded in full. The goal of the study is to identify stress-relieving countermeasures that astronauts could use during long-duration space missions to reduce stress and its ability to cause immune dysregulation, which refers to negative changes in the body's normal ability to fight off infections and disease.

Colley joins VBM as circulation manager

Vermont Business Magazine is pleased to announce that Wendy Colley has joined the team as the new Circulation Manager. Wendy has experience across various areas of business as a salesperson, entrepreneur and administrator. She received her BBA in Sales and Marketing from the University of Hawaii and traded in a surfboard for a snowboard 23 years ago when she moved to Vermont. She is excited to put her business experience and passion for Vermont to work with the Vermont Business Magazine.
