Jason Doiron, National Life Group’s Chief Investment Officer for the past five years, was promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer Robert Cotton announced. Achim Schwetlick, the head of National Life’s product and marketing division, has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Chairman, CEO and President Mehran Assadi announced the appointment.

Doiron has been at National Life since 2008 and he now oversees the firm's investment and hedging strategies totaling more than $30 billion under management.
