Akots comes to Healthy Living with an extensive background in the grocery and independent retailer industry with over 25 years of experience leading creative teams — including eight years as the director of creative services for Price Chopper/Market 32 and the flagship Market Bistro location in Latham, NY.

Nicole is joining the team to oversee the production of visual and written content for social platforms, communications and marketing channels, and executing strategic projects. Heather Torrey, Assistant Director of Burlington School District’s Burlington School Food Project (BSFP), has been voted Director of the Year by the School Nutrition Association of Vermont (SNA-VT), for her “trail-blazing approach to a year fraught with challenges for Vermont school nutrition programs.”
