Marble Trail Financial, a financial planning, investment management and tax preparation firm in Middlebury, recently announced two new additions to its team: Stephen Boyce, as director of trade operations, and Lela McCaffrey, as senior wealth adviser.

Boyce brings 20 years' experience as a security trader and analyst with a deep understanding of financial markets, portfolio accounting and rebalancing systems. He is also an owner of American Flatbread’s Middlebury Hearth.

Jane Okech, associate dean for academic and faculty affairs at the University of Vermont, has been appointed UVM's vice provost for faculty affairs, effective July 1. She will succeed Jim Vigoreaux, who plans to return to his faculty position in the Department of Biology.

Owiso Makuku, community development director for the town of Essex, VT, has been named chief executive officer of Main Street Landing in Burlington, effective Feb 22. She will succeed Melinda Moulton, who announced she will be stepping away from the company last October.
