Barre Area Development Corporation has named Aimée Green as its new executive director. Green brings to the job more than 25 years' experience spearheading complex business operations in economic development, finance, programmatic initiatives and policy in the highly regulated industries of municipals, energy and the health care sector in Vermont and Maine.

The Vermont Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame will induct three new members — former WLVB-FM operations director Craig Ladd; Vermont Public producer and announcer Betty Smith-Mastaler; and Stephen Puffer, owner and operator of WTWN-AM/WYKR-FM — during ceremonies Dec 3 at the Hilton Hotel in Burlington. Also that evening, the VAB will confer excellence awards on six additional broadcasters and one "friend" of broadcasters.

Christopher Venner, former commercial loan officer at Union Bank, has joined TD Bank's Vermont commercial bank team as senior relationship manager. In his new role, Venner will provide business banking products and solutions to companies in the area with annual revenues of up to $100 million.

Jennifer Harrington, a nurse in the Transitional Care Department at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, was named the October recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at Southwestern Vermont Health Care.
