Brandon Nielson, portfolio manager for the Stowe market at Union Bank of Vermont and New Hampshire, has been promoted to commercial loan officer at the institution's Stowe branch at 47 Park Street. Nielson began at Union Bank five years ago as a personal banker before becoming a member of the commercial department.

“I am sincerely grateful for this new opportunity,” Nielson said. “My desire is to pursue excellence and, in that effort, advance the standard of exceptional service that is characteristic of the Union Bank experience.”

The University of Vermont Medical Center recently appointed four new members to its board of trustees, adding individuals with experience in health care administration, diagnostic radiology, professional development, and diversity, equity and inclusion to the 15-member board.

The VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, one of the state’s largest providers of skilled home health and hospice services, recognized physical therapist assistant Jeff Leake as Clinical Employee of the Quarter and human resources generalist Melissa "Missy" Brown as Nonclinical Employee of the Quarter.
