Four new members elected to captive insurance association board
The Vermont Captive Insurance Association has announced the election of four new members to the organization's board. They are: Ian Davis, senior vice president of captive insurance at M&T Bank; Ryan Gadapee, shareholder at Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer; Cameron MacArthur, founder and CEO at A.I. Insurance; and Melinda Young, vice president of risk management at Alberici Constructors.
Gardener’s Supply Co. elevates Rebecca Gray to CEO
Rebecca Gray, executive vice president of direct/merchandising and marketing at Gardener’s Supply Co. in Burlington, has been elevated to CEO of the company. She succeeds Cindy Turcot, who had held the position since 2020.
Gray brings nearly 20 years’ experience in the e-commerce space. She joined Gardener’s Supply, one of the nation’s largest multichannel marketers of gardening products and accessories, in 2018 as vice president of merchandising, eventually overseeing all of the company’s merchandising and marketing activities.

Robson named inaugural winner of BMAC Award for Service to Art and Humanity
The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center will present its inaugural Award for Service to Art and Humanity to environmental artist Aurora Robson at the museum’s annual gala on Aug. 19.
Born in Toronto and raised in Maui, Hawaii, Robson lived, studied and worked in New York City for two decades before relocating to her current home in New York’s Hudson Valley. Her sculptures have been exhibited and collected internationally, and she has been the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships.
Four to be honored for Vermont Declaration of Inclusion efforts
The four Rutland County residents behind the Vermont Declaration of Inclusion, a grassroots effort to reinforce the message that Vermont is a safe and welcoming place for all, have been named recipients of the Vermont Community Leadership Award by the Vermont Council on Rural Development.
Norm Cohen of Rutland City, Bob Harnish of Pittsford, Barbara Noyes Pulling of Rutland Town and Al Wakefield of Mendon will be presented with their award Aug. 15 at the 2023 Vermont Community Leadership Summit at Vermont State University's Randolph campus.
