Good Point Recycling of Middlebury, Vermont, has announced the recycling of its ten millionth pound of electronics. While other states debate, legislate, and ponder the safe management of used computer and TVs, Good Point has quietly established Vermont as the second highest per-capita recycler of electronics in the nation.

Truex Cullins & Partners Architects was recently selected to perform a Facility Study for the International School of Prague (ISP) in the Czech Republic. Truex Cullins & Partners Architects was selected out of several international architecture firms who submitted proposals for this project.
"With our extensive K-12 school experience throughout Vermont, and our firms history of international work, this exciting project is the natural outgrowth of our expertise in two strategic areas, said David Epstein, Partner-in-Charge of the project.
David Epstein, AIA and Project Manager Joe Petrarca recently visited the school to meet and interview the school staff and leadership and to assess the existing facility. David and Joe will be returning in April to present their final report to the Board of Trustees.

Waitsfield and Champlain Valley Telecom (WCVT) announced that it has selected Portsmouth, New Hampshire based Pannaway Technologies as its hardware vendor to deliver next-generation broadband services to its 21,000 subscribers. WCVT is deploying Pannaways award-winning IP Packet-based Service Convergence Network (SCNTM) products in 18 remote switching sites with 35 additional sites to follow. This will allow WCVT to upgrade its network with ADSL2+ technology that offers increased reliability and even faster Internet speeds to subscribers.

Vermont State Auditor Randy Brock's report dictated that the Department of Public Safety (DPS) should seek repayment of $30,976 from three local government entities: $7,508 from the Village of Johnson; $19,650 from the Town of Norwich; and $3,818 from Rutland County Clerks Collaborative (RCCC).

Waltham, MA and Rochester, NY February 10, 2006 CTC Communications and Choice One Communications today announced their agreement to enter into a merger of equals, creating one of the largest competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) in the United States, and the largest privately held CLEC in the Northeast. Post merger, the combined entity is expected to generate over $550 million in annual revenues by serving over 100,000 customers by way of over 1,000,000 access line equivalents. The companies combined network will consist of 7,000 route miles of fiber connecting 630 collocations. The current shareholders of Choice One and CTC will each own exactly 50% of the combined firm.

COLCHESTER, VT&Green Mountain Power Corporation (NYSE: GMP) today announced 2005 consolidated earnings from continuing operations of $2.09 per share of common stock, diluted, compared with 2004 consolidated earnings from continuing operations of $2.10 per share of common stock, diluted. The Company reported additional earnings of $0.03 and $0.10 per share from discontinued operations in 2005 and 2004, respectively.
Increases in operating revenues in 2005 were offset by increases in power supply expenses, other operating expenses, maintenance expenses, depreciation and amortization, and transmission expenses, causing earnings from continuing operations to be essentially unchanged compared with 2004.

Karen Marshall, chair of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of
Commerce (LCRCC), announced today that A. Wayne Roberts, long-time president of
the Chamber, would retire from his post at the end of the year. Roberts has been
at the helm of the LCRCC since 1986.
