Vermont's unemployment rate ticked up one-tenth to 4.1 percent in May over the April rate. Vermont has the fourth lowest unemployment rate in the nation; it was third lowest in April. Vermont also continued to see a decrease in jobs, following a year-to-year trend in which the number of employed, unemployed and total workforce are all down. The labor force also increased from April. The US unemployment rate was 7.6 percent, up one-tenth from April.
