Vermont Information Technology Leaders (VITL) today announced the appointment of Stuart Lopez as database administrator/analyst. In this role, Lopez is responsible for providing technical support including overseeing the development and organization of the data warehouse, analytics support and implementation of new technologies.
With more than 20 years of experience in data architecture and software development, Lopez joins VITL from GE Healthcare IT where he served as senior data warehouse architect driving the design and implementation of infrastructure in support of product development to address the requirements of the federal Meaningful Use program. In addition, he has previously held positions with Dartmouth College and BRC Vision Care. Lopez received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Dartmouth College. He currently resides in Lyme, NH.
Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc. (VITL) is a non-profit organization that assists Vermont health care providers statewide with adopting and using health information technology to improve the quality of care delivery as well as to enhance patient safety and outcomes. Comprised of a collaborative group of stakeholders including health plans, hospitals, physicians, other health care providers, state government, employers, and consumers, VITL is the designated health information exchange (HIE) for the state of Vermont.
