David Silverman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Maryellen Sullivan to the position of Financial Advisor in the Asset Management Group of the Bank. Bringing many years of estate and financial planning experience, Sullivan will be responsible for the administration of trusts, estates, non-profit, investment and retirement accounts. “We are very pleased to add Maryellen’s talents and dedication to our Asset Management team. As a community bank our goal is to provide outstanding financial services to all of our customers, and serve as their trusted resource,” Silverman said.
Previously employed as an attorney with the Law Office of Olson & Associates in Stowe she was responsible for estate planning, tax planning and trust/estate administration. Prior to that, Sullivan was the principal and managing attorney of the Law Offices of Maryellen Sullivan, an elderlaw, estate/trust planning and administration firm in Garden City, New York.
Sullivan has earned a Juris Doctorate and M.A. in Theology from St. John’s University, Jamaica, N.Y., and her B.A. in Political Science, from Niagara University, Niagara Falls, N.Y. Further education includes a Certificate in Non-Profit Management, Marlboro College Graduate School, Brattleboro, VT. Sullivan has also served on the Mercy Connections, Burlington, VT, Board of Trustees, and as a member of the Board of Directors for Therapy Dogs of Vermont, Williston, VT
Moving to Vermont in 2005, Sullivan resides in Stowe with her husband Bob Fahey and has owned and operated Gold Star Dog Training for the past few years.
