Jackie Pratt, director of advocacy and customer experience at Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations in Massachusetts, has been named general manager of the Stowe Electric Department, effective Oct 17. She will succeed Ellen Burt, who has led the department for the past 18 years.
Pratt is a graduate of Clark University in Worcester, MA, and holds an MBA in sustainable business from Green Mountain College in Poultney.
Stowe Electric Commission chair Dick Marron expressed optimism that the Stowe community will continue to be well-served under Pratt's leadership.
“The Electric Commission was looking for a candidate capable of leading SED through a period in which electric utilities need to support their customers in reducing their carbon footprint, while still providing electric service economically and reliably,” he said. “We believe Jackie has outstanding skills to lead SED in doing so.”
