Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging taps Rosemary Greene for executive director

Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging has promoted Director of Business Operations Rosemary Greene to executive director. Greene had been serving in that capacity on an interim basis.

During her 10 years of service with the council, Greene has overseen the renovation of its administrative office in Rutland, assisted with the agency’s transition to a new database system and was active in SVCOA’s COVID-19 response.

Prior to joining the council, she spent over eight years in operations in the trust industry. Additionally, she has served in a range of community roles, including as a member of the Proctor School Board, and various volunteer roles with Proctor Elementary School, Proctor High School and the Proctor Free Library.

“Rosemary brings to this important position a strong combination of financial and operational insight that will be an advantage in the continued development of our agency and its programs,” said George Davis, president of SVCOA’s board of directors. “We know she will bring a wealth of enthusiasm, professionalism and leadership in guiding SVCOA as we move forward.”
