Rutland Regional Medical Center is pleased to extend a warm welcome to Erin Hall, MD, to our outstanding group of psychiatric physicians.
Dr. Hall specializes in a scientifically validated method of psychotherapy known as Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which aims to address the underlying cause of a patient’s mood and anxiety symptoms efficiently and effectively, so that patients can experience measurable results within weeks and months, rather than years. ISTDP encourages patients to not only treat their symptoms but function at their highest level of capacity.
This method involves an active dialog and full engagement by both patient and therapist in each session. Dr. Hall has enjoyed facilitating dramatic relief of suffering and renewal of vitality in patients previously discouraged by the results they experienced with prior medication and therapy trials. She is looking forward to working closely with fellow practitioners within Rutland Regional’s Behavioral Health Clinic to assist in providing excellent, comprehensive care.
Dr. Hall received her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed her psychiatric residency training from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital prior to going into private practice. ”I hope to become a valuable resource to the community,” she said.
Once the Rutland Region has recovered from the recent storms, she is a looking forward to taking in more of our beautiful scenery and wildlife. Dr. Hall very much enjoys boating on Lake Champlain as well as Vermont’s inland waterways.
