Norwich University has named Professor of Computer Security and Information Assurance Huw O.L. Read as a Charles A Dana Professor in recognition of his outstanding teaching, scholarship and service.
Read joined the Norwich faculty in 2015 and received his doctorate in digital forensics from the University of Glamorgan, South Wales, UK, in 2008. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
Founded in 1974, the Charles A Dana Foundation supports the development of an outstanding full-time faculty through the recruitment and retention of professors with widely recognized scholarly attributes and a high level of teaching competence. Faculty are nominated by their peers and recommendations for appointment are made by the current body of Dana professors to the provost and the president.
“This appointment is a deep testament to Dr Read’s hard work and commitment to our students and to the institution,” said Karen F Gaines, provost and dean of the faculty.
