PEGTV, Rutland County’s public access television station, is pleased to announce County News 802 Producer, Cristina Kumka has accepted the position of program coordinator for PEGTV’s government channel 21. Cristina will continue to produce and host County News 802 as well as perform her new duties as coordinator.
“Cristina’s vast experience in journalism and knowledge of Rutland County make her the ideal individual for the position of CH21 Coordinator,” boasts PEGTV Executive Director, Michael Valentine.
Cristina Kumka started her career in broadcast journalism at Emerson College in Boston. While earning her degree, she contributed to WERS 88.9FM, the college's award-winning radio station, as a host and volunteer producer. From 2008 to 2012 she wrote for the Rutland Herald covering statewide education issues and breaking news. She has been a contributor to Vermont Public Radio, local radio, The Mountain Times newspaper and often acts as a journalism consultant to local high schools and colleges.
Cristina began producing and hosting County News 802, which airs on Channel 21, in July of 2013. The show focuses on news that is happening in your town government and how actions made by local leaders will affect your pockets and your life.
PEGTV is comprised of Channels 15, 20 and 21 and is available throughout the Rutland Region to all cable subscribers.
Wynn also represented Vermont, the NGB, and his country in the 2010 Olympics and is presently is training with our National Guard Development Team with high hopes of heading to his 2nd Olympics in 2018. SPC Roberts is also a proud member of E Co, 186BSB out of Morrisville and attended JRTC this past summer with his unit.
