Lund staff wins national Angels in Adoption Award

Graham Kidder, of Jacksonville, Vermont, was selected as this year’s Angels in Adoption Award winner. Graham has served as a Permanency Planning Counselor for the past twenty years and as a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter for the last five and a half years. This annual award is presented by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) to individuals, couples, families, and organizations across the nation who have made extraordinary contributions on behalf of children and families in need. Graham was recommended by Representative Peter Welch and will be honored on October 20th at the CCAI’s Angels in Adoption Gala.

Since Graham began working at Lund twenty years ago, he has found families and finalized adoptions for 241 children between the ages of seven and eighteen. Graham’s work is fueled by the belief that every child deserves a family and his success over the years stems from developing strong relationships with everyone he works with, especially the children, families considering adopting a child through Project Family, and the families created when children connect with forever families. He is looked to as a Permanency expert in the district he serves, co-facilitates regional support groups for families, is a sought-after colleague for peer consolation and has taken more of a leadership role in Project Family over the past year.

“Graham never gives up. He believes that every child is adoptable and that it is his job to find those homes for children. I cannot think of a more deserving person to receive the national recognition of the Angels in Adoption award this year,” said Wanda Audette, Lund’s Director of Adoption.

Congratulations, Graham!
