Attorneys Simone Washington, former criminal defense attorney at Burke Law in Burlington, and Bridget Grace, former staff attorney for the state of Vermont, have joined Langrock Sperry & Wool as associates. Both will be based out of the firm's Burlington office.
Washington is a graduate of the University of Vermont and holds a law degree Washington and Lee School of Law, where she served as a lead articles editor for the Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, and as a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic, representing indigent defendants in Virginia.
Washington's practice thus far has focused on civil rights, family law, criminal defense and personal injury.
Grace is a graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and holds a law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Prior her to her tenure as a state public defender, she served as deputy state's attorney in Washington County.
Specializing in criminal defense, family law and civil matters, Grace is deeply rooted in the Vermont community and possesses an extensive understanding of the state's legal landscape.
