Huebner joins Brattleboro Retreat Board of Trustees

The Brattleboro Retreat is pleased to announce that Tom Huebner, recently retired President of Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC) and Rutland Regional Health Services (the hospital’s parent corporation), has been elected to the hospital’s Board of Trustees.

Huebner joined RRMC in 1990 as Vice President overseeing systems development and planning. From 1997 to March of 2018 he served as the Medical Center's President. Prior to that he served as Executive Vice President at Choate-Symmes Health Services, Inc. in Woburn, Mass., also held positions as Senior Consultant for the Massachusetts Hospital Association and as Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Public Health in Massachusetts.

Huebner is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives. He served as chairman of the Rutland Area Community Services, the Vermont Association of Hospitals and Health Systems (VAHHS) and the American Hospital Association (AHA). He was chair of the AHA Regional Policy Board, Region 1.

He continues to serve on the Governance Committee and Board of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont, the Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice, and various other civic organizations. Huebner holds a BA from Colby College and an MBA from Boston University with a specialty in health management. He resides in Rutland, Vermont.
