HowardCenter announces two new hires

Catherine Burns recently joined HowardCenter as the Director of Evaluation and Outcomes for HowardCenter Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Burns attended Skidmore College and the University of Colorado. She is a Licensed Psychologist-Doctorate and has a Ph.D. from the University of Vermont. Prior to HowardCenter, Burns was the Director of Quality Assurance at Washington County Mental Health. She lives in Richmond with her family.

Elaine Soto was recently selected for the position of Community Support Program Director for HowardCenter Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Previously, Soto was Assistant Director of Community Support Programs at HowardCenter. Soto is a Licensed Social Worker and has a Masters of Social Work from the University of Vermont. She lives in Burlington.

HowardCenter offers life-saving professional crisis and counseling services to children and adults; supportive services to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities who need help with education, employment, and life maintenance skills; counseling and medical services for those struggling with substance abuse, and intensive interventions for adults with serious and persistent mental health challenges. The agency serves 15,000 individuals and families each year, mostly in Chittenden County (although some programs are statewide).
