The Hampton Inn and Event Center announces hotel staffing changes

The Hampton Inn and Event Center event center Colchester/Burlington Vermont, managed professionally by Linchris Hotel Corporation has announced hotel staffing changes.

Laurie Malenfant has been promoted to Director of Sales. Laurie joined the hotel in October of 2010 as Corporate Sales Manager. Since January 2013 she has managed sales and marketing for all business development at the hotel. Her specialty remains in corporate sales, group travel and accommodations for all government lodging needs. Laurie brings her background in advertising and marketing to promote and support the public relations of the hotel. She serves the Vermont Hospitality Community on tourism and planning committees for both the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce and the State of Vermont Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Laurie works on the Vermont Travel and Industry Conference planning committee.

John Martin of Colchester VT was promoted from Banquet Supervisor to become the event center’s Banquet and Catering Manager. John has a long history in hospitality in the Burlington area. He had previously worked in various positions at the Radisson/Wyndham/Hilton in Burlington as well as the Clarion/Doubletree in South Burlington. He brings his extensive skill set and positive attitude to service the hotel Event Center clients. He is well known for his professionalism and attentiveness to details.

Sarah Chase has joined the hotels sales department as Catering Sales Manager. Sarah is a lifetime Vermonter. Her primary focus at the hotel is Meetings and Wedding planning. Sarah came from “Wentworth By The Sea “ in New Castle New Hampshire. Prior to obtaining her degree in Tourism, Planning and Development from University of New Hampshire, Sarah worked at The Ponds at Bolton Valley. We are delighted to have her on our team. She brings a great deal of knowledge and is very capable of managing all facets of events and gala’s from the conception to the final details.

Julie Terrazzano has re-joined the Hampton Inn as Front Office Manager. She has more than 25 years of hospitality experience working under various hotel brands which include Choice Hotels, LaQuinta and Hilton. She was also part of the original opening team for this Hampton Inn. Her knowledge and expertise in guest service, sales and hotel administration make her a welcome asset to the management team.
