Four Gravel & Shea attorneys earn ‘Lawyer of Year’ distinction

Gravel & Shea partners Peter Erly, Timothy Eustace (pictured), Chip Mason and Robert Rushford have earned the distinction of “Lawyer of the Year 2025” by Best Lawyers, a peer-reviewed guide to the legal profession.

Early, a shareholder at Gravel & Shea since 1987 and now of counsel, was recognized in the category of mergers and acquisitions law. He is a graduate of Williams College and holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Eustace, a shareholder since 2009, has been recognized in the category of litigation — real estate. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont and holds a law degree from Vermont Law and Graduate School.

Mason, a shareholder since 2006, was recognized in the category of corporate law. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont and holds a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law.

Rushford, a shareholder since 2000, was recognized in the category of real estate law. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont and holds a Master of Laws from Yale University and a law degree from the School of Law at University of Pittsburgh.
