Community Capital of Vermont announces hiring of new loan officer

Martin Hahn, Executive Director of non-profit organization Community Capital of Vermont, proudly announces the hiring of Aaron Krone as its newest loan officer.

“We are so pleased to have Aaron come on board. Not only does he bring a decade’s worth of loan origination and marketing experience to CCVT, he brings strong communities ties and a great sense of the small business world of Vermont,” states Hahn.

Mr. Krone’s previous experience includes credit management, accounting, loan origination and loan underwriting. He is also an accomplished commercial photographer and has experience as a blacksmith.

“Aaron comes to us at the perfect time. We’ve closed loans for 5 companies since July, and with our busiest time of year around the corner, we anticipate keeping him very busy,” says Hahn.

Business loans recently closed by Community Capital include: new party supply store Party Central in Barre; writing services company The Write Stuff in Waitsfield; established non-profit EarthWalk in Plainfield; Vermont Kale Chips in Montpelier, and new restaurant Swiss Fondue by Heinz in Stowe. Four of the 5 are new businesses with anticipated job creation of at least 6 new jobs among them. EarthWalk will use its funding to maintain 8 in-house jobs and create 2 more.

“These businesses are as varied and creative as Vermonters themselves, and CCVT is honored to be a part of their growth. We know entrepreneurship is exciting but can also be extremely challenging. Even more importantly, we know that not all entrepreneurs have perfect credit in order to develop or grow their businesses. That’s where Community Capital of Vermont comes in,” states Hahn.

Founded in 1995, Community Capital helps Vermonters create and retain jobs, build wealth, and enhance our downtowns and working landscape. In addition to managing its own loan funds, Community Capital administers the Vermont Job Start Fund to invest in lower income entrepreneurs and create jobs. Community Capital is the “go-to” lender statewide for entrepreneurs who require business start-up and expansion financing but are unable to secure bank financing. Community Capital of Vermont serves as a stepping stone for entrepreneurs, helping them build the sales, experience, and credit to become sustainable, successful, and bankable businesses in the future.
