The Vermont Futures Project is pleased to announce that Paul W. Carroccio and Wendy Knight have joined its Board of Directors.
Paul is the CEO of TPW Real Estate based in Manchester. TPW was founded in 1987 and is family-owned boutique real estate sales, rentals and property management firm with offices in Manchester, Stratton and Ludlow/Okemo. Wendy is currently the Chief Marketing Officer for Knight Automotive, a family-owned business celebrating its 36th year. She was most recently the Commissioner of Tourism and Marketing for the State of Vermont serving in the Governor Phil Scott Administration since 2017.
Paul is passionate about being an entrepreneur and building a strong, lasting organization in TPW. Paul is also an active member of the Manchester community. He serves as Board Chair of the Manchester Business Association, Board Treasurer of the Dorset Theater Festival and Board Member of the Bennington Industrial Corporation. Paul is also actively involved in the Putnam Block redevelopment project in Bennington as well as the various economic development groups throughout southern Vermont. Paul shares his love of Vermont with his wife Chrissy and their young two boys, Sean and Bennett.
Paul states, “I’m really proud to join the Vermont Futures Board and be a contributor. Vermont is a special place to live, earn a living and raise a family, but it all comes with a balance of economies, environments and social assets. The Vermont Futures Project is keenly focused on these areas and I am excited to be a part of the organization and contribute going forward.”
As Commissioner of Tourism and Marketing for the State of Vermont, Wendy directed a 10-person marketing team to promote Vermont as a place to live, work and visit. She designed and implemented a first-in-nation economic development tourism program (Stay to Stay Weekends) aimed at encouraging visitors to become full-time residents, which is part of the Scott Administration’s innovative talent attraction efforts that has resulted in extensive national media coverage and the successful relocation of new residents. During her tenure as Commissioner, Wendy also served as the Vice Chair of the Vermont Outdoor Recreation Economic Collaborative. Wendy graduated from Cornell and lives in Addison County.
“Attracting new workers is essential to growing our economy,” said Wendy. “I’m thrilled to join the VFP board and hope that my public sector experience and communications expertise can support their mission of making economic growth a priority for Vermont.”
