Avi J Springer has joined Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP as an associate, working primarily in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and other litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Avi worked as a public defender in New York City, where he represented clients in the appeals of their felony convictions and other post-conviction matters. He then worked as a trial attorney representing parents in child welfare proceedings in family court. In addition, Avi served as a law clerk for the Hon William K Sessions III in the US District Court in Burlington, VT.
A graduate of Yale Law School (JD, 2010); University of California, Berkley (M.P.P., 2006); and Wesleyan University (BA, 2001), Avi is admitted to the state courts in Vermont and New York; and the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, and is a member of the Vermont Bar Association. Avi lives in Bristol with his wife.
