VFCU announces Robinson selected for Filene I3 Program

Jean Giard, President and CEO of Vermont Federal Credit Union, is pleased to announce that Doug Robinson has been selected to Filene Research Institutes i3 (Ideas, Innovation, Implementation) Program. Out of hundreds who applied, sixteen employees from credit unions nationwide were selected for the prestigious i3 Program. Robinson shared that the application process was “rather rigorous” and included a personal essay, references, a personality test and a tryout period. Over the course of the next two years those selected will bring to market innovative new products, services and business models and test their viability.

“I applied to the i3 program in hopes of learning Filene’s innovation methods and joining a community of professionals that are leading innovation and change within the credit union industry,” said Robinson. He continued to explain that he is “eager to apply these insights in ways that will benefit the Credit Union and our membership.”

Robinson joined Vermont Federal Credit Union in 2009 and has held many positions including Project Manager, Loan Servicing Manager and, most recently, Director of Innovation & Strategy.
