The 251 Club of Vermont is proud to announce Stephanie Young as its new Executive Director, effective January 1, 2020. Young is a 2005 Vermont Law School graduate. She spent eight years in Washington, DC in environmental policy with the Marine Conservation Biology Institute and the Partnership Project. Young noted, “While my family and I enjoyed our time in the Washington, D.C. area, our intent was always to return to live permanently in Vermont, and in 2013 we moved back.“
Stephanie now lives in Burlington with her family, and is an environmental policy and law adjunct professor with Purdue Global University. She also serves on the board of the ECHO Museum, the Burlington Conservation Board, and the Emerge Vermont Advisory Council. She, her husband and two young boys spend their summers and weekends having “251 Club adventures”.
She will replace Sandy Levesque, of Randolph who, during the past ten years in her leadership position, has overseen a substantial increase in the visibility and growth of the club.
Now in its 65th year, the 251 Club of Vermont remains dedicated to encouraging exploration of Vermont by visiting all of its 251 cities and towns. The Club's web site is: vt251.com.
