Brendan Cosgrove of South Burlington has been named executive director of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Vermont (ACEC/VT).
ACEC/VT, a member of the National American Council of Engineering Companies, has 26 member firms and 16 affiliate firms in Vermont offices. As executive director, Cosgrove will help ACEC members fulfill their strategic agenda of providing the highest quality engineering to Vermont. The organization participates in legislative and government policy issues, promotes high professional standards and public awareness about engineering, and conducts workshops, seminars, and the highly popular and competitive annual Engineering Excellence Awards Program. Cosgrove, principal of Cosgrove Public Affairs has held numerous high-level posts in Vermont state government and public policy organizations. "ACEC/VT has a rich history and passion for strengthening Vermont's infrastructure and the profession of engineering as a whole," he said.
