Vermont Dentist achieves Diplomate Status, first and only dentist in State of Vermont

Dr. Steven Craig DuBoff of Rutland, VT earned Diplomate status within the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) on August 19, 2011. Dr. DuBoff is the first and only dentist in the state of Vermont to have received these credentials.

The ICOI is the world’s largest dental implant organization, and the world’s leading provider of continuing dental implant education. The awarding of Diplomate status is the highest honor a professional society such as the ICOI can bestow on a dental professional involved in oral implantology. The ICOI conducts a Diplomate program in which active members are encouraged to achieve Diplomate status through their efforts in education, research and actual clinical experience. Advance Credential Committee interviews and testing are required. All Diplomates of ICOI may choose to list the designate “D.I.C.O.I” after their names.

Dr. Steven DuBoff graduated from UMDNJ in 1990. He was the recipient of numerous awards at graduation and was inducted into OKU Dental Honor Society as well. He enjoyed private practice in Northern NJ for 17 years, specializing in Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry.

Dr. DuBoff, his wife Dr. Lynn DuBoff and their 3 children decided to move to Vermont several years ago at which time they acquired Dr. Tom Gallivan’s practice in Rutland.

The International Congress of Oral Implantologists is a tax-exempt, non-profit dental educational organization. It is dedicated to communicating scientific knowledge and improving the clinical practice of dental implantology worldwide. The ICOI has public information programs, publishes a bimonthly journal and quarterly newsletters. It conducts numerous scientific symposia each year and supports research through its Implant Dentistry Research and Education Foundation (IDREF).
