Corinna Thurston, executive director of the Milton Artists' Guild, and Lisa Mitchell, executive director of the Town Hall Theater in Middlebury, have joined the Vermont Creative Network as zone agents.
VCN is an initiative of the Vermont Arts Council that works to elevate Vermont's creative sector. Thurston will lead the organization's Chittenden County Zone, and Mitchell will head up the Addison/Rutland Zone.
In addition to her work at the artists' guild, Thurston is a professional artist who specializes in vibrant, detailed pencil drawings of wildlife and domestic animals. She is also an entrepreneur, speaker, author, business consultant and wildlife conservationist.
Mitchell is experienced in multidisciplinary arts and event producing as well as communications and management at the local and national levels. She works to expand the array of voices in the creative sector and create an accessible, inclusive space for all.
