Seven Gravel & Shea attorneys recognized by Best Lawyers 2026

Heather Hammond

Gravel & Shea shareholder Heather R. Hammond (pictured) and six of her colleagues were recently named to the 2026 list of Best Lawyers in America, the oldest peer-reviewed publication company in the legal profession.

Hammond was selected for the honor in the litigation category. In addition, she was named Labor and Employment Lawyer of the Year in the city Burlington.

Hammond has helped dozens of Vermont and regional companies create and maintain productive, inclusive, employee-centered workplaces by emphasizing clear communication, transparent decision-making and legally compliant business practices. She is a graduate of Middlebury College and earned a law degree from Vermont Law and Graduate School.
