Planned Parenthood of Northern New England has named Judith Selzer as its next CEO and president.
Selzer has more than 20 years’ experience working with the nation’s leading social-justice organizations. She served as chief strategy officer for Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central and Southern New Jersey and as executive director for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey. Prior to Planned Parenthood, Selzer co-founded the Women’s Foundation of Florida, launching its Women on the Run nonpartisan campaign training program, and its Girls Leadership Institute, focused on empowering girls to lean into science, technology, engineering and math.
“Judith brings passion and experience empowering others to make positive and lasting impact on the world around them,” said Margot Milliken, chair of the PPNNE Board of Trustees. “She has a deep understanding of Planned Parenthood, and we are thrilled to have her leadership in this time of extraordinary change.”
Selzer is a graduate of Smith College and holds a master’s degree in women’s studies and a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from Florida Atlantic University, where she has served as adjunct faculty and taught undergraduate courses on Women and Business, Sex and Gender in America, and College Writing.
