New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) formally launched construction of its new, state-of-the-art South Burlington branch at 1000 Shelburne Rd. with a groundbreaking ceremony at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, October 22. Participating in the silver-shovel event were John Dwyer, NEFCU President and CEO; Bill Smith, NEFCU Senior Retail Delivery Executive; Charles DesLauriers, NEFCU Board Chair; Don Stewart, President, Stewart Construction; Shawn Brennan and Steve Clark, Freeman French Freeman architects.
During construction of the new branch, member services will be relocated approximately one mile north at 764 Shelburne Rd. in the building formerly occupied by Pizza Hut, between Koto Japanese Steakhouse and Bourne’s Service center. Services available at the temporary branch will include:
• Full Teller Service
• Mortgage Officer
• Member Service and Loan Representatives
• NEFCU ATM
Temporary branch hours will be Monday-Thursday, 8:30-5:00; Friday, 8:30-6:00.
ATM Service also will continue to be available at the current branch location in the back of the parking lot.
