Wendi Walker-Schmidt, former senior manager and leader of talent, learning and organizational development and effectiveness at Charles Schwab, has been named head of organizational development at National Life Group. She will be based out of the company's Addison, TX, office.
Walker-Schmidt brings to National Life more than 20 years of multi-industry experience responsible for all stages of the learning and development cycle, including design, delivery and evaluation. At Charles Schwab, she led the Learning and organizational development team for Schwab Technology Services and managed the New Employee Recruitment and Development program.
Walker-Schmidt holds two bachelor's degrees from Houston Baptist University, a master’s degree from Texas Christian University and a Doctor of Education in learning and organizational change from Baylor University. She holds certificates in instructional system design and mediation and is a certified facilitator.
