Berlin, Vt – -Central Vermont Medical Center President and CEO
Judy Tarr announced that Michelle Heezen has accepted the role of Vice
President of Physician Services at CVMC. “During her term as interim VP,
Michelle and her team have already made some important improvements to our
medical group. We are very happy that she has agreed to continue as a member
of CVMC’s senior management team.”
Michelle grew up on a dairy farm in Berlin, VT. “This gave me a
real appreciation for hard work and an understanding of ‘you make hay while
the sun shines.’ I have applied this motto in my personal and professional
life.”
She attended Berlin Elementary School, U-32 High School and Lyndon State
College, where she earned a BS in Accounting. Michelle is currently working
on her MBA.
Prior to working for CVMC, Michelle held various accounting and
business manager positions at the State of Vermont. Most of her career was
with the Agency of Transportation. During her tenure at the state she spent
18 months on a project team that implemented the new state-wide accounting
system and after go-live she was the Help Desk Chief.
During her six years at CVMC Michelle has worked as Budget and
Reporting Manager, promoted to Finance Director in 2007 and Executive
Director of the Central Vermont Physician and Hospital Organization (CVPHO)
in 2009.
“I am excited about my new role and am dedicated to taking it on
with the same exuberance and resolve I have taken on my other
responsibilities at CVMC,” said Michelle.
Michelle lives in Berlin with her husband Arthur and their two
pets.
