Loomis joins Stern Center for Language & Learning’s board of directors

Molly Loomis will join the Stern Center for Language and Learning’s Board of Directors when it convenes its 36th Annual Meeting on October 10, 2019. Molly combines expertise in learning theory and practice, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement to help mission-driven organizations become more engaging, innovative and inclusive. She launched her career at her hometown museum, the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, and went on to design innovative programs and exhibits at children's and science museums across the country. As a graduate fellow with the National Science Foundation, her research focused on equity and innovation in science education. She returned to Vermont in 2009 to be the Director of Education for ECHO at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain and, most recently, served as the Chief of Impact for Let's Grow Kids, a statewide early childhood advocacy campaign. Molly has a B.A. from Wesleyan University, an M.Ed. from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She also graduated from the Noyce Foundation's National Leadership Institute and the Snelling Center's Early Childhood Leadership Institute.

The Stern Center for Language and Learning is a nonprofit educational resource in Williston, VT, dedicated to enriching the lives of learners.
