Former HANDS volunteer joins organization's board of directors

Kirk Rankin, administrative associate at the Vermont chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, has joined the board of directors at HANDS, a food provider for seniors 50 and older in Chittenden County.

Rankin, a recent graduate of the University of Vermont, previously worked with HANDS (Helping and Nurturing Diverse Seniors) on a variety of community projects. He has a background in communications and community outreach.

“I’m so happy that Kirk will be lending his skills and compassion to our mission of getting food to adults who are low income,” said Executive Director Megan Humphrey.

Having lived in Vermont for five years, Rankin has immersed himself in the Green Mountain state as both a student and community member. He has volunteer experience with the Committee on Temporary Shelter, the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity, and Age Well.
