The addition of two new family doctors to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital medical staff will give the community better access to primary care. Peter J. Foote, DO, and Janine Foote, DO, will be starting to practice at Windham Family Practice with Thomas O. Evans, MD, and nurse practitioner Barbara Evans in mid-October.
Dr. Peter Foote most recently practiced at Duke Medicine in Raleigh, North Carolina, after having been associated with Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey. Prior to that, Dr. Foote was a family physician at two other health and medical centers in New Jersey. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2002.
An osteopath, Dr. Foote served his residency at Hunterdon Medical Center where he was Chief Resident from July, 2003 to July, 2004. Dr. Foote is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. In addition to being an active member of the American Medical Association, Dr. Peter Foote belongs to several family physician associations and the American Osteopathic Association. Also an osteopath, Janine Foote, DO, was on staff at Hunterdon Medical Center before moving to North Carolina with her husband. She graduated magna cum laude from Stevens Institute of Technology (NJ) with a bachelor of science in chemical biology, after which she received her Doctor of Osteopathy from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she also served her internship. Dr. Janine Foote is also certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
