David Baczewski, an independent leadership and defense consultant, has been named senior business development specialist — military for the Fairfax-based aerospace firm Liquid Measurement Systems. He assumes leadership of the company’s efforts to drive growth across sectors and platforms on both military and commercial aircraft, fixed wing and rotary, hybrid-electric propulsion, unmanned system and platform upgrades and modifications.
Baczewski brings extensive Air Force and Air National Guard experience to LMS, including roles in executive-level leadership; strategic planning and program management; project oversight; and comprehensive operations in such high-profile positions as deputy director of operations in European Command and as executive officer to the deputy commander of US Northern Command. He is a former command pilot with more than 4,000 flight hours in the F-16, T-37 and T-38.
Baczewski and his family live in Westford, where he has served on the selectboard and the design review board. He has also served as wing commander of the Vermont Air National Guard’s 158th Fighter Wing.
